Commentary for II Kings 20:8

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר חִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ אֶֽל־יְשַׁעְיָ֔הוּ מָ֣ה א֔וֹת כִּֽי־יִרְפָּ֥א יְהוָ֖ה לִ֑י וְעָלִ֛יתִי בַּיּ֥וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֖י בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃

And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah: ‘What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up unto the house of the LORD the third day?’

And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, "a What shall be the sign that the Lord will heal me?": It is fitting for you to know that this was not a diminishing of faith for Hezekiah, that he requested a sign for this. This was when Isaiah had already made known to him that God's decree was that he should die. But now that He had agreed to add 15 years to his lifespan, perhaps there was a stipulation. This means
